Diane Beattie
Diane Beattie leads D.L. Beattie Consulting, a new group whose focus is consulting in the areas of: strategic leadership in all aspects of health information management and information technology focusing on the development of a clear vision and strategy.
The recent teams, led by Diane have successfully implemented national and provincial pilots, in Health Care in the areas of Diagnostic Imaging and Electronic Patient Record. Both patients and providers are now benefiting from this ground breaking work. To foster the development of e-Health within Ontario, Diane has been a member of many advisory boards and committees including, co-chair of Regional e-Health Steering Committee, Ontario e-Health Council and Chair of the Governance Committee for the Ontario Telehealth Network. On a national bases, she is one of the initial members of CHIEF – Canada’s Health Informatics Executive Forum.
Previously, Diane has served with several major corporations in the insurance, food processing and gas distribution industry and health care. Prior to joining the London Hospitals she held the position of General Manager for Union Gas for 5 years in London, before heading up the companies Business Development group.
Strong community involvement and commitment are important. Active leadership roles have included: Chair of the Board of the London Health Sciences Centre; the Joint Committee on Hospital Restructuring; the Executive Committee of Robarts Research Institute, The London Club, The London Chamber of Commerce, the Campaign Cabinet of United Way and St Clair College. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the London YMCA and the London Economic Development Commission.
In 2005, Diane was recognized as a Women of Excellence within the London Community.
Diane has a bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from the University of Windsor.
