Abstract
This session will describe Smart Systems for Health Agency s role in implementing e-Health in Ontario. SSHA was created in 2003 to electronically connect healthcare professionals to each other and to patient information across the healthcare system. It s IT infrastructure products and services are built for the healthcare sector and are being widely adopted. Its network and e-mail products are increasingly being used as the way for the healthcare sector to share patient information electronically. SSHA is contributing essential elements of Ontario s Electronic Health Record. Find out where SSHA is in its role as Ontario s e-Health enabler.
About the Speaker
Bill Albino has more than twenty years experience in the information technology and telecom industries. He has served as a board member, senior executive and general manager for companies in Canada and the United States. Specifically, Bill has worked for EDS Canada as Executive Vice President and Senior Vice President, Sales. He has worked for Xerox Corporation in senior management roles in Canada and the United States. He has also run his own consulting company for technology start-up companies. As the Chief Executive Officer of SSHA, Bill is responsible for ensuring the implementation of its mandate to electronically connect Ontario s healthcare professionals to patient information sources.
